Master of Education: Educational Administration with Curriculum Emphasis

LeTourneau's online Master of Education - Education Administration Specialization with Curriculum Emphasis degree is designed for busy educators like you who want to enhance their leadership and management skills without having to give up their current jobs.

The specialization in Education Administration with Curriculum Emphasis is designed to provide strong curriculum knowledge with Educational Administration basics for those seeking to become an effective Instructional Leader as all principals are called to be.  This specialization is based on the need for a specialization that merges Educational Administration and Curriculum and Instruction to take students beyond the state requirements for principalship to the reality of the responsibility of successful campus instruction.

As with the Educational Administration Specialization, courses in this track cover a wide spectrum of content-specific areas, ranging from school finance to human resource management, all of which are essential to the efficient, daily operation of educational institutions along with curriculum design and evaluation with a focus on student learning.  This master’s specialization culminates with an Internship/Practicum experience that allows the student to observe and participate in management and organizational activities which includes curriculum perspectives.  Students completing the Educational Administration with Curriculum Emphasis specialization will be prepared  for administrative positions in schools such as principal, assistant principal, and other curriculum leadership roles.

Students who want Texas Principal Certification must be Texas certified teachers with a minimum of two years teaching experience to be eligible to take the Texas principal certification exam.

Our strong curriculum and experienced faculty will help you graduate prepared to excel in leadership roles at the campus or district level.

Principal certification prep courses and regular practice exam opportunities ensure you'll be thoroughly prepared for your principal certification exam.

Integrating faith into class content and discussions encourages students to understand how faith can and should inform their professional decisions and actions.

In the state of Texas, almost 40% of all campus principals for P-12 schools will be eligible to retire in the next decade. It's very important that schools have an opportunity to identify potential leaders for their campuses and begin the process of preparing them to fill these vacancies.
