LeTourneau University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, and master's degrees. LeTourneau's Engineering program offers the BSE degree with various concentrations, and is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org/

LeTourneau's Engineering Technology program offers the BSET degree with various concentrations, and is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org/

LeTourneau's Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering program offers the BSCE degree with various concentrations, and is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org/

Texas State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC)

LeTourneau University's teacher education program underwent its first program review and approval from the State Board for Educator Certification in October 1993. It is accredited on an annual basis.

ACBSP

All programs offered by LeTourneau University's School of Business are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools & Programs (www.acbsp.org, 913-339-9356).


Approvals

Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI)

The Education Department at LeTourneau University is an approved program and a provider of credentials for private Christian school educators by the Accrediting Commission of the Association of Christian Schools International." Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)

The School of Aviation & Aeronautical Science offers three programs that are approved by the FAA. The Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic curriculum is approved by the FAA under 14CFR Part 147. The Private, Instrument and Commercial Pilot curriculum is approved by the FAA under 14CFR Part 141. The Unmanned Aircraft Systems curriculum is approved by the FAA under the UAS-CTI program guidelines.

National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements

LeTourneau University is an institutional participant in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (SARA). SARA is an agreement among member states, districts and territories that establishes comparable national standards for interstate offering of post-secondary distance education courses and programs. It is intended to make it easier for students to take online courses offered by post-secondary institutions based in another state.

Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB)

THECB does not require nonprofit, private institutions in Texas to have a state license to operate, as long as the institution is regionally accredited.

Texas Board of Nursing (BON)

The LeTourneau University School of Nursing is approved by the Texas Board of Nursing (BON) to offer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. All LETU nursing graduates are qualified to write the NCLEX for registered nurses.
