Alongside in-depth history courses, you will take education courses designed to prepare you for any situation you'll face in a real-world classroom. From your first year, you'll also spend time in classrooms alongside veteran teachers who will show you firsthand the ins and outs of classroom management.
Students will meet regularly with our faculty in preparation for the ExCET/TExES exams for Texas teacher certification in history or for social studies composite certification, which includes history, government, geography and economics.
