Degree

Take your passion for crunching numbers, add multiple field experience and practicum opportunities in real-life classrooms, personal attention from experienced education professors and in-depth study of mathematics procedures and principles, and you've got a degree in mathematics education from LeTourneau University.

From their very first year, our students work in classrooms under veteran teachers observing instruction, participating in teaching and learning what it really takes to manage a classroom. With the current local and national shortage of middle and high school math teachers, you'll be on your way to a fulfilling career in no time.

Before graduating all students must successfully pass the appropriate content area Texas Examinations of Educator Standards (TExES) exam and 8-12 Professional Practices and Responsibilities TExES exam.
