In our program, we'll prepare you for your dream job! We'll teach you all you need to know to succeed in the field of game development. 

 

COMPREHENSIVE CURRICULUM

The Game Development curriculum combines a solid foundation in the computer sciences and an emphasis in game development with practical applications in:

  • computer graphics
  • creative writing
  • modeling
  • design
  • programming
  • software engineering

Students receive hands-on training in computer graphics, software engineering, game development tools, and programming with the focus of creating games.

Among the tools used in the program are a wide variety of game engines and supporting tools, including: Unity, Unreal Engine, Game Maker Studio, Blender, Love 2D, and Pygame. Programming languages used in game and simulation development include: C#, C++, Python, LUA, Java, and others.

Students in the CSGD are encouraged to participate in game-related internships and co-op opportunities as well as becoming involved in active IGDA chapters both in the local area and across the nation.
