Dr. Wayne Jacobs, professor of kinesiology and chair of the Department of Biology & Kinesiology, tells about how he sees God moving through the his students and fellow faculty.

BACKGROUND

Dr. Jacobs brings knowledge of health and physical education from industry and education. He has been working in this field for more than 25 years.

Prior to being called to LeTourneau University, Dr. Jacobs was an assistant professor of health and physical education and the intramural director at Louisiana College in Pineville, La. Dr. Jacobs also taught at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, in both the health science and activity programs.

Before teaching at the college level, Dr. Jacobs was a fitness director and manager of the Court Club in Nacogdoches and taught high school. Dr. Jacobs has been a minister of education and recreation and taught adult Sunday school for more than 15 years. He is the evaluator for an abstinence-based initiative in Longview and is an active CPR instructor. Dr. Jacobs has served on the boards of the American Heart Association, One Way Ministry, and Mission Assist Team.
