REPORTS TO: Associate Director of Custodial Service for Facilities Services
SCHEDULE:

Regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 4pm to 1 am, with overtime and weekends as required.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Routine duties include:

  1. Carpet cleaning/extracting in offices, classrooms, and academic hallways.
  2. Using machinery for hard floor surfaces scrubbing/stripping various hallways, workrooms, and laboratory classrooms, etc.
  3. Ceramic tile cleaning of restrooms, hallways, and kitchen areas.

Occasional duties include:

  1. Minor maintenance and repairs of custodial equipment.
  2. Performing routine custodial tasks including, but not limited to mopping, vacuuming, trash collecting, window cleaning. Washroom/shower sanitizing.
  3. Proper usage of LeTourneau University supplied chemicals.
  4. Proper usage of safety equipment supplied by LeTourneau University.
  5. Implementing instructions from the Assistant Director of Custodial Services.
  6. Other duties as assigned.

Physical motions include but are not limited to the following: lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, grasping, scrubbing, bending, squatting, going up and down stairs, continuous standing and walking, and any combination of the preceding.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Floor Tech qualifications required, and experience of 5 years preferred.
  • High school education or equivalent fund of knowledge.
  • Must be age 18 or older.
  • Good working knowledge of the English language.
  • Able to work independently.
