Working as a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) is a great way to build flight hours toward qualifying for higher-level aviation industry positions including those with major airlines. LeTourneau University offers two concentrations that can be combined with the Professional Flight major to put you on that path.

• The Certified Flight Instructor concentration includes the theory and flight courses necessary to be licensed as a flight instructor for single-engine aircraft.
• The Certified Multi-Engine Flight Instructor concentration builds on that foundation with courses like Upset Recovery and High-Performance Flight, leading to certification as a flight instructor for both single- and multi-engine aircraft.
