The first ceremony at 10 a.m. will feature graduates from the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Aviation and Aeronautical Science, the School of Education, the School of Nursing, the School of Psychology and Counseling and the School of Theology & Vocation.

The second ceremony at 2 p.m. will feature graduates from the School of Business and the School of Engineering and Engineering Technology.

Over 400 graduates have qualified to receive their graduate and undergraduate degrees. LETU will award 328 undergraduate degrees and 85 graduate degrees, totaling 413 graduates.

The keynote speaker is evangelical Christian pastor, teacher and author Erwin W. Lutzer, who served as senior pastor of The Moody Church in Chicago for 36 years, from 1980 to 2016, and is now pastor emeritus.

Lutzer is a celebrated international conference speaker and the featured speaker on three radio programs: the "Moody Church Hour," "Songs in the Night" and "Running to Win." These programs are available on more than 1,000 outlets on Christian radio stations and on the internet around the world.

His speaking engagements include Bible conferences and seminars, both domestically and internationally, including in Russia, the Republic of Belarus, Germany, Scotland, Guatemala, and Japan. He also leads tours to Israel and the cities of the Protestant Reformation in Europe.

An award-winning author with over 30 books to his credit, Lutzer wrote "Hitler's Cross," which was named a Gold Medallion Award winner, and "One Minute After You Die," which became a bestseller. More books he has written include "Rescuing the Gospel," "He Will Be the Preacher," "The Cross in the Shadow of the Crescent," and "When a Nation Forgets God," among others.

Growing up on a farm in southern Saskatchewan, Canada, Lutzer listened to the preaching of the late Rev. Billy Graham on the radio. Feeling himself called to the ministry, Lutzer earned a Bachelor of Theology degree from Winnipeg Bible College, a Master of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Master of Arts in Philosophy from Loyola University. He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the Simon Greenleaf School of Law.

Lutzer and his wife, Rebecca, have co-written two books: "Life-Changing Bible Verses You Should Know" and "Jesus, Lover of a Woman's Soul." They live in the Chicago area and have three grown children and eight grandchildren.
