We are dedicated to helping international students succeed in the classroom, improve their conversational English and gain a broad understanding of American culture and life.
If English is not your first language, you must demonstrate English proficiency or enroll in the English as a Second Language (ESL) program for conditional admission to LeTourneau University. English proficiency can be demonstrated in a variety of ways: a minimum TOEFL score of 80 on the Internet-based version, 197 on the computer-based, 525 on the paper-based, or a minimum of 6.0 on the IELTS meets the minimum proficiency requirement for full admission to the undergraduate program.
LeTourneau University offers an ESL program for students already at an intermediate or advanced proficiency level in English. Students may enroll for 12 hours per semester at either the intermediate or advanced level. Students must enter the program with a working knowledge of English due to the fact that these classes are designed to prepare students for academic performance and degree completion at LeTourneau University.
*Please note that there is not a beginner level in the ESL program.*
