Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy

LETU's Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy (MAMFT) is a specialized professional graduate degree program designed to equip you to assess, diagnose and treat individuals, couples, families and groups to achieve healthy relationships.

As a graduate of this program, you will have the academic, practicum and internship requirements for licensure in marriage and family therapy (LMFT) and licensure as a professional counselor (LPC) through the Texas State Board of Examiners for Marriage and Family Therapists and the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors.  Requirements in each state vary -- see www.AMFTRB.org for information about your state's licensure requirements and process. 

This residential program is offered at our Longview campus and our Dallas Educational Center.

Master of Arts in Counseling

With the MA in Counseling from LeTourneau University, you will have all the coursework you need to take the state licensure exams— a first step required to practice counseling as a school counselor, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)— or a combination of these.

Master of Arts in Psychology

As an LETU graduate psychology student, you will use the foundations from your undergraduate studies to develop your knowledge in more specialized areas in the field of psychology. Hone your advanced research skills, find the focus that inspires you, and discover how to use your passion to help others as Christ instructed.

Master of Education

Choose from four specializations:

Specialize in Teaching and Learning to obtain Texas Teacher Certification at the elementary, middle school, or high school level while also earning a MEd Degree. Or, consider the Curriculum and Instruction specialization to expand your knowledge of instructional effectiveness and student success.

The Educational Administration specialization provides the degreed individual with the knowledge and experience necessary to become an effective school administrator, as the demand for competent individuals to fill these positions is consistently on the increase.
