LeTourneau University kinesiology professor and department chair Dr. Wayne Jacobs and co-author Kathryn Baker have written a new book titled “The Strong Temple: A Man’s Guide to Developing Spiritual and Physical Health.”
It gives men the tools to adopt a personal wellness plan to lead to a lifestyle that supports spiritual values and provides strength for everyday living. “Strong Temple” covers everything from choosing the right foods and getting enough exercise to managing stress and strengthening faith in Jesus Christ. The book is published by WestBowPress, a division of Thomas Nelson & Zondervan publishers.
Jacobs has more than 30 years working in the field of health and kinesiology. He has published multiple journal articles and course texts and has delivered dozens of presentations on health and wellness. He has taught about wellness at LeTourneau University since 2001, winning the Robert H. Selby Teaching Scholar award in 2005-2006. He earned his doctoral degree in health education from Texas A&M University.
