LeTourneau University has named Dr. Terry Dale Cruse as its new Vice President for Enrollment Services, effective Aug. 26.  Cruse will lead the university’s traditional and nontraditional student enrollment initiatives. He will also partner with the academic deans to establish meaningful relationships with corporations, churches and other institutions to advance the university’s enrollment goals.
Cruse comes to LETU from Missouri Baptist University where he has served for eight years, moving up the ranks from director of undergraduate admissions to dean of enrollment and later as the institution’s first vice president for enrollment services.  Under his leadership, MBU experienced significant increases in retention and student enrollment.
“Terry is someone with a creative mind and abounding, contagious Christian commitment and a proven record for increasing enrollment and retention,” said LETU Provost Dr. Philip A. Coyle. “Terry will assume a significant role in partnerships with our LETU academic deans in establishing meaningful relationship with corporations, churches and other institutions to advance enrollment goals at LeTourneau University.”
Cruse earned both his bachelor’s degree in journalism with a public relations emphasis and his master’s degree in education from William Carey University and his Ed.D. in Higher Education from St. Louis University.
Cruse represented MBU on the Higher Education Council of the St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association and served as president of the National Association of Baptist Enrollment Professionals. He is a member of the National Association for College Admissions Counselors, American Association of College Registrars an Admissions Officers, and recently served as president of the National Association of Baptist Enrollment Professionals.
He and his wife, Pam, have been active members of their church where Terry served as a deacon, a member of the youth and children’s ministries, a member of the senior pastor search committee and the chairman of the finance committee.  His wife has been active in women’s ministry, teaching Sunday school, and serving on the church’s business committee. They have three young daughters.
