LeTourneau University’s Center for Faith and Work will welcome Steve Bell, CEO and owner of Bellmont Cabinet Company, to speak on faith and work integration during a chapel service at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, in the S.E. Belcher Jr. Chapel and Performance Center, 2100 S. Mobberly Ave., in Longview. The public is invited.
“We are excited to bring such a successful and seasoned entrepreneur as Steve Bell to speak on campus,” said Bill Peel, executive director of LETU’s Center for Faith and Work. “Steve has told me that the story of LETU’s founder, R.G. LeTourneau, made a huge impact on his life. Mr. LeTourneau was a man who didn’t leave his Christian faith at home on Monday mornings when he went to work, but instead saw his business as a calling to do his work with excellence and to reach people for Christ.”
Bellmont Cabinet Company, formerly known as Pacific Crest Industries, is a multimillion dollar cabinet business located in Sumner, Wash. Bell started the company in his garage and is now located in a factory with almost 200,000 square feet. Bellmont Cabinet Company currently ships products throughout the 12 western states through a network of independent kitchen and bath dealers and national merchandisers. The company also sells to licensed new-construction contractors and high-rise condominium projects in the western Wash. region.
Bell was named Washington state’s Small Business Person of the Year in 2005 by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
