LeTourneau University's traditional undergraduate enrollment for Spring 2013 is up from last Spring by 4 percent, totaling 1,244 new and returning students, according to LETU President Dr. Dale A. Lunsford.
New, transfer, and former students total 61 which is the highest in the last decade for spring semester. International students total 100, which is up from 60 students compared to last spring.
Retention rate for first-time-in-college students from Fall 2012 to Spring 2013 was 95 percent, one of the highest retention rates ever. This year's retention rate is up 3 percent from 92 percent compared to Fall 2011 to Spring 2012.
“We continue to see growth in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs, as well as adding new programs in the social sciences,” Lunsford said. ”Improvements in our retention rate have also been significant and point to the high quality of our faculty and our students.”
