Danny’s expertise in sports media and enthusiasm for precise, up-to-date information, will provide exciting and interesting media.  His love for sports and people, coupled with a desire to tell the LETU student-athlete story, will give readers insight into the people who are LETU athletics.  We are excited Danny is here and look forward to working with him.”

As the Sports Information Director at LeTourneau University, Kambel will be involved in the management of the media and public relations surrounding the 13-sport YellowJacket athletic department. He also gained valuable experience as an assistant sports information director at Florida International University and Indiana State University and as an intern at Indiana University and the U.S. Naval Academy.

Kambel earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo and his associate’s degree from Columbus State Community College, where he is a member of the sport and exercise studies hall of fame.

He is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics. The Eldridge, Iowa native is the son of Wilma and the late Eldon Kambel of Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
