LeTourneau University welcomes Dr. John Coe, Director of the Institute for Spiritual Formation at Biola University, to speak in chapel at 10:50 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, in the S.E. Belcher Jr. Chapel and Performance Center, 2100 S. Mobberly Avenue. The public is invited.
Coe is a specialist in the philosophical and theological foundation of the integration of faith and learning. His research focuses on understanding the nature of spiritual and psychological health, the history of spirituality, the work of the Holy Spirit in personal change and the interface between psychology, spirituality and philosophy. A particular interest is in exploring approaches to spiritual direction as a compliment to Christian psychotherapy.
Coe teaches and writes in the areas of spirituality, theology and psychological maturity. He has presented numerous papers at conferences and maintains a busy speaking schedule. He and his wife and two children live in Calif.
