East Texas Job Fair Attracts Hundreds of Job Seekers
Job seekers were wall-to-wall in LETU's Solheim Arena Monday at the East Texas Job Fair coordinated by U.S. Rep Louie Gohmert.

More than 700 job-seekers turned out in the first hour at the East Texas
Job Fair Monday, June 29
th, at LeTourneau University’s Solheim Arena, coordinated by U.S. Representative Louie
Gohmert. Almost 1,200 attended the event by the time it concluded at noon.
Gohmert and LETU President Dr. Dale A. Lunsford were on hand to
welcome more than 60 registered local employers who were hiring. Employers included City of Longview, Convergys, Good Shepherd Medical Center, Kelly
Services, KYTX-CBS 19, Longview Independent School District, Longview Police Department, Express
Employment Professionals, The Made-Rite Company, Pre-Paid Legal Services Inc., Suddenlink
Communications, TCIM Services Inc., and the U.S. Census Bureau.
The job fair was held at the university’s main campus, 2100 S. Mobberly
Ave. The event was held in conjunction with the Longview Partnership, Longview Economic
Development Corp. and East Texas Council of Governments.
