LeTourneau University started its longest road trip of
the season in an inauspicious manner Sept. 23 as it fell to the University of Texas-Dallas Comets
3-0 (25-17, 25-5, 25-15). The loss drops the Jacket to 3-6 (0-3) on the season.
LETU came into the match knowing that it was going to
take a superior effort to compete with UTD who improves to 10-3 (3-0). However, the Comets
proved to be too strong as they attacked their way to the tune of a .400 hitting percentage
recording 36 kills to only six errors in 75 attempts. The Jackets struggled putting the ball
down managing 19 kills, but also committing 19 errors along the way.
LeTourneau will continue its nine-game road trip as it
travels to Belton, Texas, to take on the Crusaders of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor
September 30.
