LeTourneau University to host ACSD conference in June 2009

LeTourneau University will host keynote speaker Dr. Larry Crabb at
an international conference of about 800 Christian higher education leaders June 1-4, 2009, at the
university’s main campus in Longview. Student affairs professionals from colleges all over the
world will convene at the annual conference for the Association for Christians in Student
Development.
Crabb is a leading Christian psychologist, counselor, author and
Bible teacher whose best-selling books include
Inside Out, Finding God, Connecting and
Men & Women: Enjoying the Difference.
In the early 1980s as a faculty member of Grace Theological
Seminary, Crabb founded the Institute of Biblical Counseling. He founded the New Way Ministries and
is a distinguished scholar-in-residence at Colorado Christian University.
The ACSD conference has been held at other top-notch CCCU schools,
including Wheaton, Taylor, Biola, George Fox, Westmont, Gordon, and John Brown in years past. This
year will be the first time LETU has hosted.
