(Longview, TX)— LeTourneau University announced that Dr. Carol Green will become the new vice president for the School of Graduate and Professional Studies effective Sept. 1, 2008. As a vice president, Green will serve on the President’s newly expanded Cabinet.
Green has served the past three years as dean of the School of Professional Studies at George Fox University. From 1997 to 2005, she served as the dean of the Clovis, N.M. campus of Wayland Baptist University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in history from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Her master’s and doctorate degrees are both from Texas Tech University. Green and her husband, Robert, have three daughters.
“Carol Green brings knowledge of both traditional and nontraditional college education environments,” said Robert Hudson, Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. “She is a great communicator and visionary leader, with a heart for students. She embraces our mission of making an impact on our students academically and spiritually. We are very excited to announce her as our new vice president.”
Green will replace Scott Ray, who provided strong leadership as associate vice president for Graduate and Professional Studies for three years while he continued teaching classes. Ray will return to his role as full-time business faculty.
