The Cisco IP Phone 7914 Expansion Module attaches to the Cisco IP Phone 7960 and extends its functionality by adding 14 line appearances and/or speed dial numbers per module. One or two Expansion Modules can be attached to your IP Phone. One Expansion Module provides a total of 20 line and/or speed dial numbers. Two Expansion Modules provide a total of 34 line and/or speed dial buttons, as shown in Figure 5-1.

Tips You can assign phone numbers and text labels to speed dial buttons on your Expansion Module. For more information, see the "How to Set Up Speed Dial Buttons" section. |

LCD screen—Displays either the phone number, speed dial number, or text label (such as a name) assigned to each button. Icons indicating line status function in the same way as those on the Cisco IP Phone 7960. |

Lighted Buttons—14 buttons. Each button corresponds to one line (just like on the Cisco IP Phone 7960).
