Student Handbook 2012-13

Due Process and Appeals

A student may appeal a disciplinary action by submitting a letter to the Student Judicial Review Committee. One function of this committee is to consider cases where student conduct is cause for serious discipline, including dismissal. In such cases, this committee reports its recommendations to the Dean of Students. Final action rests with the administration of the University.

Please note: the implementation of the original discipline is delayed from the time the appeal letter is received in the Office of Student Life until the end of the judicial review. An appeal must be made in writing to the Dean of Students within five (5) days after a disciplinary sanction has been enforced. Final action of the administration will be carried out immediately following the called meeting of the Student Judicial Review Committee.
