Student Handbook 2012-13

Involuntary Administrative Withdrawal

A student will be subject to involuntary withdrawal from the University, or from University housing, if a student engages or threatens to engage in behavior that (1) poses a danger of causing physical harm to self or others, (2) would cause significant property damage, or (3) directly impedes the lawful activities of others. In some cases, tuition and/or room and board may be returned to the student at a pro-rated rate. Each instance is handled on a case-by-case basis and is determined by the circumstances of the withdrawal. The Dean of Students may refer a student for evaluation by an independent licensed psychiatrist or psychologist chosen by the institution, if the Dean reasonably believes the student may meet the above criteria.
