RD: South Hall

I grew up in Southern California with a twin brother and a love of sunshine. After I graduated from high school, I moved to Indiana to attend Taylor University, where I earned my B.S. in Environmental Science (2014). During my undergraduate years at Taylor, I developed a deep care for my residence hall community and served in various roles in Taylor’s discipleship program. I became curious about the learning and development that happen in students’ lives beyond the classroom, which led me to pursue my M.A. in Higher Education and Student Development (2016), also at Taylor.

During my two years in graduate school, I served in Taylor’s Office of Student Programs, where I helped lead Inter-Class Council. I also helped lead two spring break missions trips to Indianapolis, where I developed a continuing interest in and care for urban ministry and poverty alleviation. My thesis study was entitled “The Experience of Introverts on a Residential College Campus,” a topic that I continue to learn and care about as I serve in residence life.

Other things that I enjoy include a good cup of coffee, stories, Mondays, tambourines, and being outside.

Beginning in 2016, I have the honor of serving as the Resident Director of South Hall. I enjoy living life alongside students, asking good questions, and listening to the people around me. It is my hope that the women and men of South Hall would grow in learning about themselves, others, and God, ultimately feeling empowered to be who God made them to be.
