Pennsylvania & Mabee Halls

Starting in 2014-15, we began a multi-year renovation plan for all three "Trinity" Residence Halls. Evelyn LeTourneau Hall (ELH) was the first building to be renovated, with Penn and Mabee Halls following in that order. As a part of the renovations, we are removing the original built-in furniture and installing modular furnishings, similar to what we have elsewhere on campus.

With the built-in furniture, each room has:

  • Two built in beds
  • Two built in desks
  • Two smaller wardrobes
  • A total of twelve dresser drawers
  • Two wide drawers under each bed
  • Two desk drawers
  • A bulit in bookshelf above each desk.

After the renovations, each room will contain:

  • Two height adjustable beds
  • Two desks
  • Two desk chairs
  • Two bookcases
  • Two three-drawer dressers
  • Two wardrobes

The rooms have a bank of windows across the back wall, with one of the four windows that can be opened. The windows are each 32 inches high, by 32 inches wide (130 inches total), and the bottom of the windows are 48 inches from the floor. Two rooms share an adjoining bathroom, and a sink and mirror are located in each room. A separate laundry facility is located to the east of the Trinity halls.

The Trinity Halls are cinder block construction, which adds extra layers of strength and noise insulation. Each of the three buildings are three stories tall with 12 rooms on each floor surrounding a central floor lounge and small kitchenette.  Each floor lounge has plenty of comfortable seats, perfect for studying, hanging out, or playing games.

The three buildings are positioned to create a recently landscaped courtyard in the center.

Penn Hall is 26a on the LETU Campus Map.

Mabee Hall is 26b on the LETU Campus Map.
