Visitors often comment that the grounds of our 162-acre campus are a beautiful, pleasant,and safe environment for a quality educational experience. Although the present facilities on campus are modern and spacious, we still retain one building from our past. Speer Chapel, restored from the World War II Army hospital era, has received a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark designation.

The university’s learning resource center gives students access to unlimited information through titles housed on site, as well as through the interlibrary loan system. E-books are available, with access to more through the online database netLibrary.

The new Paul E. Glaske Center for Engineering, Science and Technology is a 53,000 square foot facility with state-of-the-art labs and classrooms for the engineering and science programs. The engineering and science laboratories in the Glaske Center serve the wide variety of subjects taught in engineering, engineering technology, design technology, biology, chemistry and physics. The laboratories house equipment for experimental learning and design experiences. Other features of the Glaske Center include a display area for students’ designs, an auditorium for presentations, ample classroom space, faculty offices and a conference room.

Specific engineering laboratory areas in the Glaske Center include biomedical, computer, electrical, graphics and design. The biomedical engineering laboratory has specialized equipment for quantifying and measuring human motion and forces, computational modeling and biomedical signal processing. Electrical laboratories incorporate instrumentation, electronics, electrical machinery, microprocessors, microcontrollers, programmable logic controllers, lasers and equipment for studying mechatronics. Mechanical laboratories contain experimental apparatus for studying and testing engines and power, solid and fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and heat transfer, gas dynamics, stress analysis, vibration analysis and finite element analysis. A robotics laboratory incorporates six robots in addition to automated manufacturing cells and robotic teaching aids. The design technology laboratory facilities include drafting facilities, a blueline copier, surveying equipment and model building equipment. An engineering computer laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art computers and advanced engineering analysis and design software. A computer aided design (CAD) laboratory in the Glaske Center provides opportunities for computerized graphics instruction and experience that incorporates solids modeling and advanced graphics capabilities.

Our natural science students become proficient with contemporary instrumentation in the laboratory facilities in the Glaske Center. These labs are used for both formal course instruction and for independent student research problems. Through hands-on experience, students become acquainted with the use and operation of such computer interfaced instrumentation as UV-VIS, FTIR spectrophotometers, NMR spectrometer, gas and liquid chromatographs and physiograph equipment.

Adjacent engineering laboratory buildings house welding laboratories and a design and machine-tool laboratory. Welding and materials joining laboratories include equipment for materials testing and non-destructive evaluation of materials, a scanning electron microscope, a Gleeble dynamic simulation and test device, a vacuum furnace and more than 20 methods of welding and materials joining.

Additional computer facilities are housed in Longview Hall. The computer laboratories are open to all students and contain more than 85 personal computers with access to the campus network and the Internet. The areas of business administration, computer science and mathematics have their offices and classrooms in Longview Hall.

Our newly remodeled Education Building houses our education and psychology departments. With an emphasis on technology, students have access to a new Macintosh lab, multi-media production room, curriculum library, video conferencing classroom and a laboratory classroom to allow for both observation and interaction with children.

Heath Hardwick Hall houses faculty offices, classrooms, a large central lecture hall and a student lounge area for the areas of biblical studies, English, history and political science. Classrooms have Internet connections and other audio-visual equipment to enhance learning.

Students who fly at LeTourneau will operate the university's modern and well-equipped fleet of airplanes from our own facility located at the radar-controlled East Texas Regional  Airport. This airport is well equipped with five instrument approaches and a 10,000-foot runway that regularly handles traffic from the major airlines and the U.S. military. Because of our proximity to Dallas, LeTourneau students have the opportunity to fly in and out of one of the busiest airports in the world.

The aeronautical science program also operates a number of laboratories on campus. These labs are equipped with the latest computer-based flight training devices (simulators), aircraft mockups, special test equipment and high-tech computer-based training equipment. A number of aircraft including a Piper Arrow, Saberliner business jet and Beech King Air are also used on campus.

The Solheim Recreation and Activity Center accommodates kinesiology, intercollegiate athletics, intramurals and recreational activities. In addition to modern classrooms, the 75,000 square foot facility contains a swimming pool, racquetball courts, weight rooms, aerobics/martial arts room, two gymnasia, a walking/running track and lounge areas. A newly developed kinesiology lab houses equipment to assess physiological changes during physical activity including body composition, inflammatory response to exercise, cardiovascular dynamics and hemodynamic changes.

The R.G. LeTourneau Memorial and Student Center houses important student services, administrative offices, the R.G. LeTourneau museum and a multi-media theater. The campus bookstore offers most of the items students need for class such as textbooks, stationery and drawing instruments, to name a few. The recreation area includes facilities for playing ping- pong, pool and table games. Sandwiches, soft drinks, ice cream and other food items are available in The Hive, while a student-run espresso stand, Common Grounds, sells espresso drinks, hot chocolate and pastries.
