LETU Institutional Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded when admissions files are complete. Prospective scholarship recipients are encouraged to complete the admissions process as soon as possible. When completing your FAFSA to apply for financial aid, please remember LeTourneau University's FAFSA code is 003584.

All scholarships listed as "per year" are renewable for 4 years as long as a student continually meets each scholarship's specific requirements.
 
Academic Scholarships - based on GPA and SAT or ACT test scores, incoming freshmen are eligible for one of the following scholarships:
  • Presidential - awards $11,000 per year up to 4 years and must maintain at least 3.0 GPA
  • Dean's - awards $10,000 per year up to 4 years and must maintain at least 2.5 GPA
  • Founder's - awards $8,000 per year up to 4 years and must maintain at least 2.5 GPA

Honors College Scholarship - students must be accepted into the Honors College to receive a scholarship worth $1,000 or $2,000 per year depending on potential and need. For more information or how to apply for the Honors College, click here. Scholarship available for incoming freshmen only and must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA.

Global Scholars - awards up to $2,500 per year for students who meet Global Scholars requirements. Scholarship available for incoming freshmen only and must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA.

Faith & Work Scholar - awards up to $3,000 per year for students who meet R.G. LeTourneau Faith & Work Scholar Program requirements. Scholarship available for incoming freshmen only and must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA.

Heritage Scholarship - invited students may compete on campus for a full-tuition scholarship lasting 8 semesters (4 academic years). Learn more about the Heritage Competition. Scholarship available for incoming freshmen only.

Homeschool Endowed Scholarship - awards up to $3,000 per year to a limited number of homeschool students. For a complete list of requirements, visit the Homeschool webpage. Scholarship available for incoming freshmen only.

SALT Scholarship (Serving And Leading Together) - awards up to $3,000 per year for students who wish to be involved in community activity and student service. Résumé, interview, and references required to be considered. Scholarship available for incoming freshmen only and must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA.

Transfer Scholarship - students transferring at least 12 credit hours are eligible for scholarship money. To see GPA requirements and more information, visit the Transfer Scholarships webpage.

National Merit Scholarship - students who receive recognition as a National Merit Finalist are guaranteed full tuition up to 4 years when maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA. Scholarship available for incoming freshmen only.

National Hispanic Scholarship - students who receive recognition as a National Hispanic Finalist are eligible for $4,000 per year up to 4 years when maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA. Scholarship available for incoming freshmen only.

School Sponsored Scholarships - within each school at LETU, renewable 4-year scholarships up to $5,000/year are available to students who have been fully admitted to the university. To be considered for a scholarship, each school requires a personal interview with accepted students.All school scholarships are available for incoming freshmen only. To maintain scholarship, a student must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA and stay within the declared school all 4 years.

Work Study/Campus Jobs - LETU offers opportunities for work study through various campus jobs. To find out more about work study and campus jobs available, click here.

Grants for Dependents of Christian Workers - this grant is available to first-time students who are dependents of full-time ministers or mission board recognized missionaries. Up to $1,000 per year is available for applicants. For more information, click here.
