What will I be doing?
How do I register for my classes?
When you check in at registration, you will find a sheet with an assigned advising time. (This is important, because otherwise we have too many students registering at one time.) Come to Heath Hardwick Hall the day of registration at your advising time. Enter through the double doors across from Gilbert Hall. Bring all that is mentioned on the
what to bring page.
You will need to turn in your forms when you check in with the representative from the Office of the Registrar. From there, Admissions will direct you to your advising room. Have a seat. When an advisor is available to speak with you, you will enter the room and discuss classes.
Your advisor will be a professor who teaches classes within your major. He or she is well acquainted with the classes needed for a major and will assist in you in selecting your classes for the spring.
After courses are selected for the upcoming semester, you will go to a representative within your room. This representative will enter your classes. Make sure and leave the copy of your schedule (and the advisor file if you have it) with the person who enters your schedule. You will receive another copy later on.
Exit the room, and walk down the long hallway towards Longview Hall. You will talk with Student Affairs about housing. Then you get the printout of your schedule. Take this print out and have a seat in the line of chairs.
Representatives from Financial Aid and Student Accounts will meet with you to work out finances and payment plans. After this is complete, enter the computer lab to the cashier in order to make your first payment.
