“The beginning of my interest in counseling was my first Human Growth and Development class in undergraduate work. I was intrigued by how we are formed physically and mentally, and develop throughout the lifespan. Each of these phases brings new challenges for us as people. I found myself wanting to understand more about how we develop and face challenges throughout life.

"As a counselor, I consider it a great privilege to journey with people. I believe we are called to live in relationships and community with one another, and there is something transformational that happens when we sit across from one another allowing others to enter our world. For many of us, the idea of this process is foreign and overwhelming as this calls us to live in relationship in ways we have not previously lived. However, as frightening as this may seem, most of us have desire to be known and know one another even in the midst of our fear.

"The same passions that drive my counseling also drive my pursuit as an educator and supervisor. It is amazing to be part of the educational journey for our students as they develop new understandings of themselves and the world around them. It is incredibly rewarding to walk alongside students as they discern God’s plan for their lives and engage them as they live out calling, even as a student. Additionally, it is exciting to supervise interns as they develop as counselors to serve our community.”
