Lauren Bradley

M.A., L.P.C.- Intern

Lauren Bradley obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from LeTourneau University. After graduating from LETU, Mrs. Bradley attended the University of Texas at Tyler where she earned a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. While in graduate school, she completed internships at Pathstones Counseling Center and the Behavioral Hospital of Longview.

Additionally, a portion of her post graduate internship hours were completed at a local residential counseling facility for troubled teenagers where she worked one on one with residents as well as remotely with their families.

Mrs. Bradley is a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern and is currently seeing clients at LeTourneau University Center for Counseling. Her counseling experience includes: in an inpatient treatment facility, private practice, and residential counseling center where she has worked with adolescents, elderly, adults, couples, and families. She and her husband are raising their daughter in Longview, Texas.

“After graduating from LeTourneau, I knew I wanted to attend graduate school but didn’t know what area of psychology I wanted to specialize in. My husband and I moved to Jackson, Mississippi, where he attended law school and I began working at a non-profit organization teaching abstinence education to at-risk youth throughout the state. I loved working with teenagers, especially teaching them something I believe in, as well as the potential for having a positive influence on an entire family. This experience led me to pursue my graduate degree in counseling with a specialization in marriage and family therapy.

“My passion for couples and families also stems from growing up in a close-knit family, and with parents who not only equipped my sisters and I with a solid Christian faith and practical tools for survival in the world, but who continue to have a strong and enduring marriage today. Their relationship is the inspiration for my own marriage as well as for what I want to help other couples achieve for their families. I believe that having a strong marital partnership and parental unit is a necessary foundation to having a healthy family.

“As a counselor I desire to come alongside my clients and work with them in a way that challenges them where they are presently, as well as empowers them to work toward a life that demonstrates their purpose and personal strengths as they discover them. I have an enormous heart for those who are hurting and struggling, even with seemingly minor daily living in our culture and society. My goal as a counselor is to meet people where they are in order to build a strong therapeutic relationship that will allow for the most progress toward their personal hopes and goals for our time together.”
