For this reason, we believe in the importance of having an understanding of the complex political and cultural issues facing the world today.

 

 

 

The International Studies B.A. degree is an interdisciplinary degree which seeks to expose students to global issues and prepare them for global ministry and service.

 

Students will be able to understand and interact with diverse peoples and cultures, and possess a broad understanding of international historical, political, cultural and economic issues. In addition, basic fluency in another language will be developed.

 

The Degree

  • Take a core set of courses related to global issues
  • In conjunction with the international studies academic advisor, devises a course of study related to your future goals.
  • Achieve a basic fluency in at least one foreign language.
  • Spend at least one semester engaged in off-campus study.
  • Take advantage of our scholarship and Internship opportunities only available to International Studies majors.

Whether you're learning to speak Mandarin and trekking across Asia, studying macroeconomics in South America, participating in Bible translation efforts in Nigeria, or traveling to Russia or Greece to experience theological or historical topics, you'll learn by living out lessons and absorbing cultures around the world.
