Dr. William Godwin, entomologist trained at Texas A&M, serves as Associate Professor and Curator of the East Texas Natural History Collection (ETNH) at Jarvis Christian College. In 2011 Jarvis allocated a 10,000 square foot building for use as a regional repository of natural history specimens. Since that time the facility has built collections by making cooperative research partnerships with diverse agencies and individuals. Through these arrangements Jarvis students are being exposed to opportunities for undergraduate research with respected scientists in the fields of ecology, entomology, botany, ichthyology, and herpetology. Dr. Godwin will present an overview of the resources available in the ETNH and the ongoing projects there.
