Wes served as a missionary with the Christian and Missionary Alliance from 1995-2010. He and his wife served in Cote d'Ivoire West Africa from 1986-2003. There they were involved in church planting, both in the urban and rural context, TEE, leadership development, leadership of the mission, and mission mobilization for the national church.

They have served in Senegal since 2006, where they have been involved in educational initiatives.

Cori, his wife, is from British Columbia and they were married in 1980. They have three children: Justin, Julia and Ali.
