Remotely Piloted Aircraft (also referred to as UAVs, Drones and SUAS) represent a new and nearly untapped field of aviation. With unlimited potential uses from search and rescue missions, oil pipeline inspection and scientific research, RPAs are allowing us to safely and effectively perform tasks that are often considered dangerous or time consuming.
Even with such a new technology, LETU grads are already breaking into the field in both military and civilian organizations. With companies across a wide range of industries become increasingly immersed in the use of remotely piloted aircraft, the demand for trained, knowledgeable pilots, technicians and manufacturers will continue to grow. And LETU students will be among the first in line to meet that need.
