An on campus research course in which students evaluate assistive devices designed for low-income countries. Students in BIOL 4412 evaluate the functionality of wheelchairs for able-bodied subjects acting as wheelchair assistants. Students assist in study design, collect data, analyze data, and present their conclusions on posters and in presentations for seminars and conferences. Students also prepare for BIOL 4413 by preparatory reading on cultural issues, and by seeking prayer and financial support.
