Traditional Students Music (MUSC) Department of Theology MUSC 1700 Jazz Band Worship Arts majors are required to be in University Chorus or Jazz Band during their complete time of study at LeTourneau. Students will register for either class and receive 1 credit hour during their last year of study. MUSC 1701 Jazz Band Study and performance of instrumental jazz literature and jazz improvisatory styles. Membership is open to all interested students who have previous instrumental training and experience in high school band programs. Instruments not provided. May be repeated for credit. MUSC 2003 Music Basics A general course covering the basics of music reading (notation, chords, clefs), music theory (chord structure, transposing), ear-training (chord type recognition, sight-singing), and an introduction to music notation software as it pertains to the music reading and theory portion of the course. Class 3. MUSC 2100 University Chorus Worship Arts majors are required to be in University Chorus or Jazz Band during their complete time of study at LeTourneau. Students will register for either class and receive 1 credit hour during their last year of study. MUSC 2201 University Chorus Study and performance of varied choral repertoire. The mixed-voice group represents LeTourneau University with numerous local concerts and a spring break tour to locations throughout the United States. Membership is by audition. A small scholarship is attached to membership. May be repeated for credit. | ||||||
