First Semester - Fall 201215 hours
AATC 2011   Basic ATC Lab
A practical introduction to the role that Air Traffic Control plays in the operation of the National Airspace System. The core activity of this lab will involve flying with a flight instructor to see and hear ATC interactions first hand while performing a variety of flight operations. (This lab is not required if the student has obtained their FAA Private Pilot Certificate.) Lab 1. Corequisite: AATC 2013 (Fall)
AATC 2013   Basic ATC
This course provides the student with the basic knowledge needed to fulfill the duties of an air traffic controller. Topics include phraseology, regulations, and basic work flow. Course fee $55. Class 3. (Fall)
AVTC 1001   Foundational Concepts Of Aviation Studies Laboratory
Laboratory work to be taken concurrently with AVTC 1003. Provides a practical introduction to the aviation industry. Lab safety, aircraft systems familiarization, aircraft operations, technical publications, tool familiarization, aircraft hardware identification and installation, and precision measurements. Lab 2. Corequisite: AVTC 1003. These courses require a minimum grade of C and are prerequisite to all other AVTC courses.
AVTC 1003   Foundational Concepts Of Aviation Studies
An overview of the aviation profession and the vehicles used for powered flight. Topics include: attributes of an aviation professional, airman qualifications privileges and limitations, career opportunities, ethics, technical publications, weight and balance from the technician's perspective, aircraft configuration, and operational capabilities. A study of the early history of powered flight is also included. Class 3. Corequisite: AVTC 1001. Prerequisite or Corequisite: AERF 1103. These courses require a minimum grade of C and are prerequisite to all other AVTC courses.
ENGL 1013   English Composition I
A study of effective writing, reading, and speaking. Emphasis is on effective personal and expository writing. (This course must be completed before reaching Junior standing.) Class 3. Prerequisite: Qualification on ACT or SAT exam or completion of ENGL 1004 with a grade of D..
LETU 1101   Cornerstones Of Life And Learning (L)
This course introduces students to the LeTourneau University community and prepares them for the pursuit of whole person education and lifelong learning. It helps students explore and learn how to fulfill God's unique design for their lives through a holistic approach that establishes four essential cornerstones of life and learning: personal, intellectual, spiritual, and community development. Class 1.
MATH 1203   College Algebra With Applications
A study of linear and quadratic equations, exponential and logarithmic functions, and linear inequalities with emphasis on business applications. This course may not be taken for credit by anyone who has passed MATH 1303, MATH 1603, or MATH 1903 with a grade of C or better. Class 3. Prerequisite: MATH 1123 or equivalent.
      Fulfill English Proficiency Requirement
All students must demonstrate proficiency in English by passing either the English Proficiency Examination or ENGL 1001 English Review. Completion of this requirement by exam must take place before a student reaches senior status, otherwise ENGL 1001 must be taken every semester after reaching senior status until successfully completed. 0 total hours needed.
Second Semester - Spring 201314 hours
AERF 1113   Flight Science I (Private Ground School)
A study of the basics in flight including aerodynamics, aircraft systems, weight and balance, charts, navigation, flight planning, regulations, and weather. Successful completion of the course completes requirements to take the Federal Aviation Administration private pilot written exam. Class 3.
BIBL 1043   Biblical Foundations For Living (L)
An introductory course highlighting the relationship between Biblical teaching and contemporary Christian living. This initial experience in the integration of faith and learning focuses on principles of Biblical interpretation and application. Students learn how to interpret core Biblical passages so as to give guidance for some of the tough issues Christians face today. Class 3.
ENGL 1023   English Composition II
A study of argumentation/logic and writing for the professions with an emphasis on using the personal computer to plan, draft, and revise written projects. Each student is required to write a fully documented research paper and give oral presentations in class. (This course must be completed before reaching Junior standing.) Class 3. Prerequisite: Completion of ENGL 1004 with a grade of C or better or ENGL 1013..
MATH 1252   Trigonometry
A study of the trigonometric functions, identities, solving triangles, inverse trigonometric functions, and complex numbers. Class 2. Prerequisite: MATH 1123 or equivalent.
PSYC 2013   Introduction To Psychology
The scientific study of behavior and mental processes. Fundamental theories, problems, and procedures relating to human activity. Biological, social, and cultural factors in development. Topics include neuroscience, development, gender, sensation and perception, learning, memory, thinking, motivation and emotion, stress, personality, psychological disorders and therapy, and social psychology. Class 3.
Third Semester - Fall 201315 hours
AERF 2103   Flight Science II (Instrument Ground School)
A study in advanced flight including flight instruments, avionics equipment, instrument navigation, instrument approaches and departures, and regulations pertaining to instrument flight. A person successfully completing this course may take the Federal Aviation Administration instrument written examination. Class 3. Prerequisite: Private pilot certificate. Prerequisites or Corequisites: AERO 2203 and AERF 1113.
AERO 2203   Meteorology for Pilots
A study of meteorology as it relates to pilots. Covers low and high altitude weather, weather forecasting, and in-flight weather observations and decision making. Class 3. Prerequisite: AERF 1113.
AERO 3823   Aviation Management (L)
An introduction to the principles of aviation management. Topics include management functions, organization, flight and maintenance operations, and safety and liability. Class 3. Prerequisite: AVTC 1003. (Fall) The student must earn a minimum grade of a C in this class to progress on to other business classes including : MGMT 3203, MGMT 3313, MGMT 4363, MGMT 2803, MGMT 4313 and MGMT 4203.
BIBL 1033   Biblical Literature
This survey provides an overall perspective for understanding the Bible within its historical and cultural setting. The course will focus on the reading of significant portions of the Bible so that students may grasp the framework and themes of the Old and New Testaments as well as the relationship between the Testaments. Throughout the course students will also develop skills in interpreting and applying the Bible to contemporary situations. Class 3.
COMM 1113   Introduction To Speech Communication
A study of basic oral communication principles, including verbal and nonverbal language, listening, group dynamics, and public speaking. Emphasis is upon application of these principles in the sending and receiving of different types of oral discourse. Class 3.
Fourth Semester - Spring 201416 hours
AATC 2213   Fundamentals of Airspace System Operations
This course provides an in-depth study of the air Traffic Control System and the part it plays in maintaining a safe and efficient air-space system. This includes an understanding of the various segments of the ATC System, their individual responsibilities, and the interrelations of these segments. Documents that regulate the various aspects of ATC system are also examined. Class 3. Prerequisite: AATC 2013, AATC 2011 or a Private Pilot Certificate. Prerequisite or Corequisite: AERF 2103 (Spring)
MGMT 3203   Human Resource Management
A study of business manpower strategies, human needs, position requirements, interviewing techniques, technical and human relations, motivation theories, training and wage administration involved in maintaining the work force. Class 3. Prerequisite: MGMT 2303. (Spring)
PHYS 1111   General Physics I Laboratory
Laboratory work to be taken concurrently with PHYS 1113. Lab 3. Prerequisite: MATH 1203 or MATH 1303. Corequisites: MATH 1252 and PHYS 1113. (Spring)
PHYS 1113   General Physics I
Principles of mechanics, heat, sound, electricity, magnetism, and light for technology or liberal arts students. Not applicable for degree requirements in engineering, mathematics, the B. AATC 2411   ATC Tower Operation Lab
A practical, simulation-based study of control tower operations including the various controller positions and responsibilities. Lab 2. Corequisite: AATC 2413 (Fall)
AATC 2413   ATC Tower Operations
A comprehensive study of tower operations including ground separation, team responsibilities, and regulations. Class 3. Prerequisites: AATC 2213 and AATC 2013. (Fall)
KINE 1001   Physical Activities
Offerings include: aerobics, archery, action games, badminton, basketball, bowling, fitness, flag football, golf, racquetball, scuba diving, soccer, swimming, tennis, volleyball, weight training, etc. (Half of semester.) Class 1.
KINE 1512   Concepts Of Lifetime Fitness
General studies requirement under Kinesiology. The course examines various concepts of health and physical fitness with the purpose of encouraging the student to establish positive patterns of activity and healthful living. Class 2.
MGMT 3313   Organizational Behavior
The study of various organizational structure models and supporting theory; organizations as complex system; organizational behavior; individual and group dynamics in the business environment; organization development and change. Class 3. Prerequisite: MGMT 2303. (Fall)

AATC 3101   Air Traffic Radar Systems Lab
A practical, simulation-based study of the radar systems used by air traffic controllers to manage aircraft in the airspace system. Lab 2. Corequisite: AATC 3103 (Spring)
AATC 3103   Air Traffic Radar Systems
A comprehensive study of the work accomplished at an ATC radar facility. Attention given to procedures, an understanding of the various types of equipment used and airspace considerations. Class 3. Prerequisite: AATC 2413. Corequisite: AATC 3101 (Spring)
AERO 2423   Aviation Human Factors
An introduction to the relationship between person and machine. Develops an understanding of the need to optimize design to allow for better person-machine interaction in aviation. Introduces the student to the psychological and physiological limitations of humans in complex operating environments. Class 3. Prerequisites: AERF 1113 and AVTC 1003. (Spring)

MGMT 2803   Introduction to Leadership
This course provides an introduction to organizational leadership from a Christian perspective. Students learn fundamental concepts of leadership, visionary leadership, team building, communication, power, and liaison skills. A variety of learning methods, including case studies, role plays, research, role playing exercises, and other experiential methods are used to promote learning of Christian leadership concepts. Class 3. (Spring)
MGMT 4363   Project Management
This course presents principles and methods for planning and controlling projects, including project plan development, resource planning and scheduling, and project monitoring and control. The utilization of computerized project management software and related methods are included in this course. Class 3. (Spring)

AATC 3101   Air Traffic Radar Systems Lab
A practical, simulation-based study of the radar systems used by air traffic controllers to manage aircraft in the airspace system. Lab 2. Corequisite: AATC 3103 (Spring)
AATC 3313   Advanced ATC
This course serves as a capstone experience where students synthesize the various components of the ATC system as a basis for a study of advanced concepts. A comprehensive review in preparation for the FAA's AT Basics exam. Class 3. Prerequisite: AATC 3103. Corequisite: AATC 3101 (Summer)
Seventh Semester - Fall 201515 hours
AATC 4213   Air Traffic Resource Management
A comprehensive study of the team work needed within the ATC System to run the National Airspace System. This course will also include discussion on human factors, workforce and staffing issues. Class 3. Prerequisites: AATC 2213 and AATC 3313. (Fall)

MGMT 4313   Conflict Resolution
An integrated and interdisciplinary approach to the issues of industrial conflict, conflict resolution, and negotiation strategy. Includes model of conflict; conflict among individuals, groups, and the organization; economic conflict; and industrial conflict. The impact of labor groups on organizational conflict is also examined. Class 3. Prerequisite: MGMT 3313. (Fall, Even years)

AERO 4123   Commercial Flight Operations
A study of commercial flight operations governed by 14 CFR Part 121 and 135 including regulations, economic issues, corporate culture, and international issues. Operational topics include flight operations, employment policies, domiciles, operating specifications, type of services provided, training, passenger considerations, decision making, and communications. Class 3. Prerequisite: AERF 3103. (Spring)
AERO 4142   Aviation Law
Designed to cover the scope of all regulations concerning aviation (traffic rules, agencies, operation, aircraft, and people) in accordance with federal, state, and local agencies. Includes case histories, liens, security interest in aircraft, international conferences, bilateral and multilateral agreements, and criminal statutes. Class 2. Prerequisite: AERO 3823. (Spring)

This course helps the student design and manage successful organizational staffing practices. Students will be challenged to conceptualize the complex set of internal influences (such as organizational strategy, culture, and resources), as well as external influences beyond organizational control such as laws, regulations, and labor markets that define the boundaries within which staffing activities must take place.
