Tim Baker has spent his entire professional life in student ministry, seeking to encourage students in their walk with God and encouraging youth workers in their ministry with students. He received his degree in biblical studies from Asbury College in 1988 and his Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1992. He has led student ministries in Kentucky, Florida, New Mexico, and most recently in Longview, Texas, where he served as director of Student Ministries for eleven years. Tim joined the faculty of LeTourneau University in 1999. He’s the author of 18 books, the managing editor of The Journal of Student Ministries, and he’s a regular columnist for Youth Walk Magazine. Tim’s wife Jacqui is a piano teacher. Tim and Jacqui have three kids – Nicole (15), Jessica (12) and Jacob (7). The Bakers enjoy camping, Guitar Hero, reading, Uno Attack and dollar movies. They’re the proud owners of seven chickens and enjoy gardening and good food.
