Associate Dean of Student LifeIt has been a privilege to be a part of the Student Life team at LeTourneau since 2001. Throughout my time here I have served as a RD of multiple locations on campus, the supervisor of Student Publications, a personal and career counselor, and the coordinator of housing. Starting in 2009 I transitioned into the role of Associate Dean of Student Life. My responsibilities at this point include overseeing the residence life program, commuter support, and counseling.
Before coming to LeTourneau I worked as a counselor at a church in Ohio. I received a Masters in Counseling at Western Seminary, Seattle. It was in Seattle that I met my wife Sherene. We were married in November of 1999. Our daughter Eliana was born in June of 2002, and our son William was born in September of 2006. My Bachelor of Science in Psychology is from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. I grew up in Black Mountain, NC. My parents still live there, and we love to return as often as we can.
My role in residence life at LETU has highlighted that through every arena of life we have the privilege of knowing God more fully. The doorways can look very different. Sometimes we are dealing with a broken toilet. At others we may be walking with someone through the loss of a friend. Interaction may take place over the dinner table, or during an athletic event. No matter the arena, we are blessed with the opportunity to walk with students as they encounter their God and seek to know His voice. This work is a humbling gift.
