Symposium Travel and Lodging

Traveling to Longview

Our university staff is happy to pick up symposium attendees who are arriving at local Amtrak and bus stations, or flying into the East Texas Regional Airport (GGG). Other area airport options include the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), Tyler Pounds Regional Airport (TYR) and Shreveport Regional Airport (SHV) in Louisiana; however, other transportation arrangements will need to be made for travel to Longview (view map here). We are not able to provide shuttle service to/from these airports.

You and any family members in attendance will be housed on campus in LETU’s residence halls (South Hall) to enjoy the Home School Symposium together and catch a glimpse of what it is like to live and learn on a university campus. There is plenty of free, on-campus parking; however, it is not equipped for camping or RV parking.

You will also enjoy eating at LeTourneau's on-campus dining hall, the Corner Café (check out the virtual tour). Just a few steps away from the residence halls, the Corner Café offers quality food options from numerous dining stations, all prepared by Bon Appétit, LeTourneau's food service provider. Bon Appétit is committed to purchasing socially responsible and sustainable food and uses fresh, authentic ingredients to create standout meals every day.
