Degrees
We offer four degrees that can tailor your love of history and people to your goals — to make a difference in the world.
We also encourage you to build your major around a focus on either history or political science, depending on your interests.
Degree Programs
- History / Political Science: A solid foundation for a future in law or politics, this major provides you with a solid understanding of the world around you.
- International Studies: Learn about international social, political and cultural affairs. Study abroad, learn a language and wrestle with the global issues that complicate our world today while preparing yourself for a fulfilling career in global service.
- Pre-Law Concentration: If you're interested in attending law school after completing your undergraduate degree, consider adding a pre-law concentration to your major.
Secondary (8th-12th Grade) Teaching Fields
- History Education: If you want to share your love of history with others, this major can prepare you to teach students the secret you already know— history is far from boring.
- Social Studies Composite: You’ll learn about people and cultures from around the world and in centuries past—and graduate prepared to share it with children in this degree that combines your interest of teaching people with your love of studying people.
