LeTourneau University will feature world-class harpist Greg Buchanan during a chapel service at 10:50 a.m. and in a free concert 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, in the S.E. Belcher Jr. Chapel and Performance Center, 2100 S. Mobberly Ave., in Longview. Both events are open to the public.
Buchanan’s musical range, from rock and roll to classic worship music, displays his aggressive style of playing that redefines the typical concept of a performance on the harp. The uniqueness of his stylized playing has made him a popular guest at LETU, as well as at national and international workshops. Buchanan’s superb musicianship, combined with an enthusiastic attitude toward the Christian life, has made him one of the most sought-after Christian performers in America for the past 26 years.
Buchanan finds great fulfillment in being able to share not only his musical knowledge but also his personal walk of faith, thus offering creative inspiration to those with whom he works.
